About Me

I am a figurative painter drawn to our declining industrial and suburban landscape, as well as painting local scenes of interest to me.

 

Influences include Thomas Jones (1742-1803) Edward Hopper (1882-1967)   George Shaw (born 1966). 

 

Working mainly with oil paint but also water colour and charcoal. Using my own source material  which includes onsite sketches, photographs, etc. I work mainly in my studio based in North Norfolk, but also plein air.

   About The Paintings

Unless stated the paintings come framed in frames I consider are best suited to the work.The framing is carried out by me in my studio here in Norfolk. Measurement  given in inches is the actual size of the canvas.
